L-3 Telemetry-East has designed and developed a wide variety of aircraft flight test products ranging from simple encoder/transmitter systems to large scale master/remote Data Acquisition Systems (DAS). These systems have been used by virtually every large aircraft contractor on commercial programs, and by aerospace contractors and government agencies on critical military programs.

Missile and Launch Vehicle Test
L-3 Telemetry-East has provided, and continues to provide, products and systems to the major U.S. and foreign aerospace companies and government agencies involved in missile and launch vehicle testing. Missile programs such as Tomahawk, Stinger, Trident, and THAAD, to name a few, use L-3 Telemetry-East transmitters, encoders, signal conditioning, and data acquisition systems.
Precision Munitions Test
L-3 Telemetry-East has developed a unique, modular product consisting of a PCM encoder and S-Band transmitter used in projectile test applications. These units can be modified to accommodate virtually any requirement and can be physically repackaged to meet a wide variety of form factors, depending on installation needs.
Telemetry Ground Equipment
L-3 Telemetry-East manufactures a wide variety of telemetry ground equipment, including receivers, complete computer-controlled ground stations, and a wide variety of support products servicing the range telemetry, space data, signal intelligence, and satellite Telemetry, Tracking and Control (TT&C) communities. These products include configurations suitable for rack mount, modules for VME chassis and PC applications, and complete turnkey installations.

Design and Consulting Services
We at L-3 Telemetry-East stand ready to apply our extensive experience to your needs and to recommend a variety of solutions, along with a cost/performance evaluation for your review.
In most cases, L-3 Telemetry-East will respond to a customers RFQ/RFP/RFI with a proposal outlining a technical solution and a price. Occasionally, a requirement may not yet be fully defined, or may have multiple solutions with varying costs, schedules, and/or performance impacts. In these cases, L-3 Telemetry-East can provide design consultation to the customer on a fixed-price or time-and-materials basis to help define a suitable solution. The end result may be a set of specifications, recommendations, or even bread-board/brass-board hardware as proof of concept.
L-3 Telemetry-East can provide training courses in support of our products and systems. The courses can be conducted at your facility or ours. Training outlines and course content can be mutually arranged to provide the student (s) with emphasis on operation, maintenance, or both. Course materials usually use the actual Operation and Maintenance Manuals furnished with the hardware.
On-Site Training Courses are usually conducted during installation at the customer's facility or immediately after installation to reduce the transportation costs of multiple trips.
L-3 Telemetry-East can provide on-site support for system installation and integration to customers using our hardware and software. It is usually the customer’s responsibility to provide inter-unit cabling, wiring, sensors, sensor cabling, and power wiring.
Depending upon contractual requirements, L-3 Telemetry-East will provide recommendations and assistance during the hardware installation phase and will conduct an on-site ATP to confirm equipment/system operation. If requested by the customer, spares kits can be proposed to support the extended operation of the equipment or system.
L-3 Telemetry-East’s extensive experience in virtually all phases of telemetry instrumentation and aircraft flight test applications gives us a technical capability to design systems with a wide variety of requirements. These includes missile, aircraft, and rocket design capabilities from small air-launched missiles to large launch vehicles including the Shuttle.
In addition, our experience includes installation of complete ground stations, including tracking antennas, telemetry receivers, demodulation/decommutation hardware, and data processing systems and software. L-3 Telemetry-East also has significant experience with miniaturized, extremely rugged telemetry systems for projectile applications involving Hi-G shock requirements.
